Three brief excerpts from the 2008 edition of Brigitte Gabriel's book Because They Hate: A Survivor Of Islamic Terror Warns America (copyright 2006). . .
The Islamic community throughout the world is outreproducing Christians and Jews almost seven to one.12 It will be a matter of a few generations before they can get voting power to challenge state laws and the Constitution of the United States. Islam is already the fastest-growing religion in Europe. Driven by immigration and high birthrates, the number of Muslims on the continent has tripled in the last thirty years. Most demographers forecast a similar or even higher rate of growth in the coming decades.13 It is important to note that the world's fastest-growing Muslim populations are found in Europe and in the United States, where they are the second- or third-largest religious communities.14 This is the beginning of America's and the West's war with radical Islam. This demographic shift is an exact duplication of what happened in Lebanon and is already having a huge effect throughout Europe. People like me, who come from the Middle East and have seen how the radical Islamic agenda started and spread in Lebanon and ultimately destroyed equality among religions and changed the fabric of Lebanon, see and read the writing on the wall in America and the West today. Americans need to listen: their country is at stake. I lost my country of birth to Islamic fundamentalism and don't want to lose my country of adoption to the same fate.

. . . The Lebanese civil war was not between the Lebanese; it was a holy war declared on the Christians by the Muslims of the Middle East.
They started massacring the Christians in city after city. The Western media seldom reported these horrific events. Most of the press was located in West Beirut, controlled by the PLO and the Muslims. One of the most ghastly acts was the massacre in the Christian city of Damour,1 where thousands of Christians were slaughtered like sheep. The combined forces of the PLO and the Muslims would enter a bomb shelter and see a mother and a father hiding with a little baby. They would tie one leg of the baby to the mother and one leg to the father and pull the parents apart, splitting the child in half. A close friend of mine became mentally disturbed after they made her slaughter her own son in a chair. They tied her to a chair, tied a knife to her hand, and holding her hand, forced her to cut her own sixteen-year old son's throat. After killing him they raped her two daughters in front of her. They would urinate and defecate on the altars of churches using the pages of the Bible as toilet paper before shooting and destroying the church. Americans just don't realize the viciousness of the militant Islamic fundamentalist. They refuse to see it even when they look today at video footage of churches being burned in Iraq or different parts of the world or synagogues being destroyed in Gaza.
I think the biggest disservice to the American people was the denial by the networks to air video of the beheading of Daniel Pearl, Nick Berg, or the many other hostages that were beheaded in Iraq. We as a society need to see the type of enemy we are fighting. People have been so sheltered in this country that they have not paid attention to what has been going on for the last twenty-some years. And today, even after the attack of September 11, people still cannot fathom this type of barbarity could happen here.

On September 11, 2001, nineteen Muslim terrorists gave us death. Citizens of the most powerful country on earth watched in horror as a handful of barbaric men used airplanes as missiles and flew them into skyscrapers and the Pentagon, our symbol of power. These men not only brought the Twin Towers down, they brought America to its knees. Wall Street froze, the stock market tumbled, and national air traffic ground to a halt.
Muslims have been sounding the call to war for the last thirty-some years, but until 9/11 America was not listening. Americans were not watching the evening news and were not interested in documentaries about world affairs, nor were they listening to radical Muslims proudly and repeatedly announcing their intention to destroy our civilization. On 9/11, and for days afterward, there was rejoicing all over the Arab world.1 Arabs were dancing in the streets. They were dancing in the streets of Syria. They were dancing in the streets of Egypt, an ally to which we yearly give $2 billion of our hard-earned money. They were dancing in the streets of the Palestinian territories, for which our government brokered a peace deal with Yasser Arafat and the Israelis, and committed millions per year for their development. They were dancing in the streets of Lebanon and Jordan. They were dancing because the World Trade Center had collapsed and the Pentagon was burning. They were handing out candy and shouting "Allahu Akbar" because thousands of Americans had died.
Both the attacks themselves and their glorification in the name of God are incomprehensible to the vast majority of Americans. Americans asked why people would rejoice at the loss of innocent life. There is a three-word answer that is both simple and complex: because they hate. Theyhate our way of life. Theyhate our freedom. Theyhate our democracy. Theyhate the practice of every religion but their own. They don't just disagree. Theyhate. Not just Judaism. Not just Christianity. In various parts of the world today, Islamists are also waging terror war against Hindus, Buddhists, and all other "infidels." The imposition of Islam upon the entire world is not merely their goal. It is their religious duty. They are following the word of their holy book, the Koran, which is the guide tohatred of infidels, waging war, and victory through slaughter."

Clips #7 tells the riveting story of how Dave's father, a boxing champion in South Africa, finally came to faith in Christ. Clips #8 and Clips #9 feature some excellent teaching by Dave's wife Margurita about the need for discipline in a Christian family. The earlier 6 feature some marvelously inspirational stories that Dave has used in his many years of experience as a sports chaplain and a globetrotting evangelist. And be sure you don't miss hearing what I think is his BEST one, which was actually our VERY FIRST offering here at the Street Tracts sites-- be sure you start out with the Dave Smethurst classic Frank Jenner And George Street. Almost as good as that one is his story of Stephen Grellet, the horseback-riding evangelist of a prior century, found in the second half of Clips #2: Have A Warrior Spirit. In The Frank Jenner Testimony, Dave gives us a new rendering of the account of Frank Jenner's passion for evangelism, correcting a few little details that were not quite right in his first telling of so many years ago. For example, Frank was actually a member of a Brethren congregation, not a Baptist one. The new rendition is also quite good... but personally, I still like the "classic" version that I heard first. I got a great deal of inspiration from it for my own little tracts ministry.

Picture #1 above is the Australian Pastor David Smethurst, a world-roaming evangelist that I greatly admire. He's very high-powered, full of divine energy, and also a motivational speaker for churches. Dave Smethurst is a "temple of miraculous fire," if ever there was one! I used to think that I am quite the earth-trekker, but this Australian gentleman really outshines me, even in that area. He's "on fire for Jesus." He gets around the world very well, travelling even farther and faster than the Apostle Paul as he carries the Gospel of Jesus Christ to foreign lands! My South Korean wife Nansook and I were privileged to hear Dave Smethurst give his great message "Being On Fire For Jesus" on May 29, 2005 at the Overbrook Presbyterian Church in Richmond, Virginia, USA. After the service, I got a big thrill as I talked with Dave for a while, and was so happy when he graciously prayed for us, asking God's blessing for our tracts ministry and all our Christian work. Dave's fiery MP3 audio account of Frank Jenner's life and his amazingly fruitful tracts ministry had a HUGE effect on me when I first heard it on Feb. 1, 2005. Dave's high-powered audio message, titled I Got Off At George Street will get you really excited about the astounding prospects inherent in tracts-evangelism and street witnessing! After hearing the audio file, I was so impressed that I wrote a couple of e-mails to Dave, and was truly thrilled to meet him in person just 4 months later.That's when I was blessed to hear his "on fire" message ("Being On Fire For Jesus"), as he briefly visited Richmond, Virginia, for a couple of days.We've stayed in touch with e-mails ever since. Picture #2 shows Rev. David Smethurst in Australia with Dr. Raymond Wilson, who has written a super book about humble Frank Jenner and his use of evangelism tracts for an astounding street ministry in Sydney, Australia. Dr. Wilson's book is called Jenner Of George Street: The Story Of Frank Jenner, Sydney's Soul-Winning Sailor. Although Dr. Wilson's book doesn't use this phrase, I would say that Frank Jenner, as a faithful Christian church member, is another great example of a Christian who is "a temple of miraculous fire." These are here now as HTML slideshow pages. We have had 5 tracts translated in Tamil language, used throughout India's Tamil Nadu state, with 4 already published and distributed! Two have been translated and published in Malayalam, the language of India's Kerala state! One in Telugu, the language of Andhra Pradesh state, is already published and distributed. One has been translated into Hindi, with the potential to reach into 8 states of northern India, and it's next in line to be published, along with #5 in Tamil. The translation and publication work for our 12 tracts in the News For South Asia series is being done by Rev. Dr. W. S. Vedha, Pastor P. Selladurai, and their associates at the Mass Media Gospel Mission in Tamil Nadu. We are excited to know that work has just been finished on the first tract in a Hindi translation for the central and northern states of India. Their translation team plans to eventually produce also a translation into Kannada for Karnataka state, and one in Sinhalese for the nearby nation of Sri Lanka!. All this distribution in India brings a MAJOR blessing to our worldwide tracts ministry. A single tract booklet can be read by more than one person, and the 4 states of South India include more than 275,000,000 residents... about 1/4 of the total population of India. The Hindi translation work is already well underway for editions that can soon reach all the central and northern states of India likewise! That means we now have a potential outreach to all the literate people among over 1 billion persons in India, plus the population in the nation of Sri Lanka! The South Asian language translations are proceeding rapidly-- already 5 tracts in Tamil, 2 tracts in Malayalam, 2 tracts in Telugu, and 1 tract in Hindi have been completed. This is a very happy circumstance for us, and allows us to better praise the King of Glory! And the requested German translation is still a possibility for the future. It is such a blessing to know that some of our tracts are now being published in India by Rev. Dr. Vedha's Mass Media Gospel Mission, and we are thrilled to realize that some of our tracts in Tamil translation will be distributed in both India and Sri Lanka! A Sinhalese version for the nation of Sri Lanka is also being planned.

In the long aftermath of the terrible tsunami disaster of Dec. 26, 2004, we hope that a few of the devastated persons in Tamil Nadu, Sri Lanka, and other parts of Asia may find some measure of comprehension by reading our online tracts concerning the subject of catastrophes and cataclysm, if they can find access to an internet center. Those tracts are already here in English format, but newer versions, to be printed on paper in the Tamil language, may be customized for Tamil Nadu (India) and Sri Lanka in the near future. This is possible only by the grace of God and through the wonderful outreach and expansion of evangelism by Rev. Dr. W. S. Vedha's Mass Media Gospel Mission in Tamil Nadu, India. Our major work-in-progress which we call The Eyewitness Bible (KJV) is currently aiming for a 2012 release date.
The first e-book edition produced will be called The Eyewitness Testimony Bible.
The second e-book edition, also scheduled for '12, when it is eventually released to the public, will be The Eyewitness Evangelism Bible, an alternate version with a lot of supplemental materials added. The very first Kindle e-book editions should be going out before the end of 2012 for all the e-book readers out there!
R. K. Street, Jr.'s two versions of his new Eyewitness Testimony Bible will soon have their initial release, projected as being for sale in Kindle ebook format & expected for the year 2012. He is already at work composing and editing the material for these 2 study Bibles, to be constructed from the KJV text in our unique "historical worldview" format-- it's a more chronological design, with our own supplemental materials added as the special appendices for each version.

Another big work-in-progress is our The Kingly Gift Tribute Bible (KJV), which should also have its official e-book release during 2012.
(We had hoped to get it into Kindle-ready condition for a timely distribution during the year 2011, thus coinciding with the 400th Anniversary of the KJV Bible, but were unable to do so.)
Expect our new The Manifest Destiny English Bible (KJV) to also be sent out in its own e-book format before the end of 2012.

These 3 (of 7 projected) are part of an autobiographical / philosophical series with a world- travels theme, each about 400-600 pages long. The finished works in e-book format will provide a non-linear chronicle of Ken's own peculiar life journey... from the childish Presbyterian Sunday School student to the proud Evolutionist and s-f fanatic, to the wide-eyed world-traveler, to his unfortunate days as a much-deceived New Age cult victim in India... and ultimately to his current mind-set as the conservative Bible-minded Christian and creationist, one who believes in Biblical prophecies about the return of King Jesus Christ. The latter mind-set has been with him for the past 30+ years, and he has not lost the certainty of his convictions in all this time.
